Deleting photos from your Google Photos account is a simple process. Here’s how to do it:
1. Open the Google Photos App
Launch the Google Photos app on your device. If you don’t have it installed, you can download it from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
2. Select Photos
Browse through your photos and locate the ones you want to delete. You can select multiple photos by tapping and holding on one photo, then tapping on others.
3. Delete
Once you’ve selected the photos you want to delete, tap the trash can icon (usually located at the top-right corner of the screen).
4. Confirm Deletion
A confirmation message will appear, asking if you want to delete the selected photos. Confirm by tapping “Move to trash” or “Delete.”
5. Empty Trash (Optional)
Deleted photos are moved to the “Trash” folder, where they are retained for 60 days. If you want to permanently delete them, tap the three-line menu icon (usually at the top-left corner), go to “Trash,” and tap “Empty trash.”
1. Open Google Photos
Visit the Google Photos website (photos.google.com) and log in with your Google account.
2. Select Photos
Click on the photos you want to delete. You can select multiple photos by holding down the Shift key and clicking on the photos.
3. Delete
Once the photos are selected, click the trash can icon (usually located at the top-right corner).
4. Confirm Deletion
A pop-up will appear asking if you want to move the selected photos to the trash. Confirm by clicking “Move to trash” or “Delete.”
5. Empty Trash (Optional)
Deleted photos are moved to the “Trash” folder, where they are retained for 60 days. If you want to permanently delete them, click on the three-line menu icon (usually at the top-left corner), go to “Trash,” and click “Empty trash.”
Note: Deleting photos from Google Photos will remove them from your account and all synced devices. If you’ve previously backed up your photos and videos to Google Photos, deleting them from the app won’t affect the original copies on your device.
Remember that deleted photos are initially moved to the “Trash” folder, where they’re stored for a limited time. After 60 days, photos in the trash will be automatically deleted permanently.
Repair your device without going to the service center.
